My Friend /Brother

I have a friend that is like my brother. His name is Micheal. I met him in middle school. In 6 grade we were both sitting alone eating when he came up to me and asked me if I had anything to drink and I said yes and after that we just started hanging out. He started becoming family when he started spending the night in my house. Me and him were always together and we didn't leave each other at all. He had my back in the good times and even on the bad times. He is always there for me when I need him. Whenever I need to talk to someone I always go to him. That's why he is like a brother to me.

The Best And Worst Part Of The Book

The best part of the book is when Lily and Rosaleen escape from the hospital. I think it's the best part because they have to be very careful of what they do so they won't get caught by the officer or anyone that would get them in trouble.


The worst part of the book is when those white guys beat up Rosaleen. I think it's the worst part because they hit her with anything while she's in jail, and the officer doesn't do anything to stop it.

May's Personalities

May is always sentimental when someone talks about something sad. She is also kind of crazy because she always says "Oh Susana" when she is going to start to cry. But she is very happy when she's not sad. Her specialty food is sweet-potato biscuits. May wasn't really crazy when she was younger but when her twin sister died that's when she started changing and she started crying for the bad thing's that happened to other people. When May cries she cries as if she is going to die.

What I Did Over The Weekend

What I did over the weekend was I played soccer with my cousins. I also twisted my ankle while playing basketball. I slept most of my weekend though because I was tired. Basically I didn't do anything else because I couldn't get out of bed because of my twisted ankle.

What I Learned About Bees

1.When one bee finds a good place were there is a lot of flower it goes to the bee hive and dances to show the other bees how to get there.

2.The only bee that can mate is the queen bee.

3.If the queen bee dies the hive dies.

4.Worker bees only work for their queen bee.

The same thing that this author does that I do is that we both like to try to make the people picture what we are writing about, because that way they get more into the book. The different thing about us writing though is that she likes to write alot more than what I like to write. There also something else that me and the arthur do is that we like to tell the most possible details we can in the writing. I think that one more different thing about us is that she's a girl and I'm a boy.

Place That I Was Raised

The place that I grew up in was in El Salvador. It's not a nice place to live because It's pretty dirty. There's a lot of garbage around the streets on the floor and a lot of dried up dirt that when you walk your shoes get all dirty. But I like it because it's where I was raised. There's a big store that's white and gray spots. It's pretty old but they sell a lot of good things there like candy, drinks, and junk food. I would say that it was made for teenagers like me that love junk food. It's close to where I was born in. It's cool that it's there because whenever I would get hungry I would just have to walk about 30 seconds and I would get there. There is a river also close to were I was raised and everyone would get wet there.

My Plans For The Weekend

My plans for the weekend are that I'm going to practice breakdancing, and I might go to a party to battle some other breakdancing. I'm also going to sleep a lot because I get really tired during the weekend and I just get bored so I fall asleep. I'm going to practice soccer because I want to get better at soccer. The last thing I'm going to do for the weekend is eat a lot. Well, those are my plans for the weekend I know it sounds boring, but I like my weekends like that.

Lily's Situation

I think that another way that Lily could have dealt with the situation, was that she could have kept on begging T-Ray to get Rosaleen out of jail. He probably would have gone really annoyed that he would have taken out Rosaleen from jail so Lily could shut up. Another way she could have done it is that she could have talked to the guys who put Rosaleen in jail so that they could drop the charges they had against her.

Younger Cousin

I have a great little cousin named Christian. Even though he likes to eat a lot and he is fat, he is also very athletic, because he loves to play soccer a lot. He is playful and he loves to play with other kids. I think that makes him happy. He's also joyful. He likes to laugh a lot when things are funny. He's also really smart when he does his homework. He has always liked doing homework and he always gets A's on his progress report.

Little Rock is in the southern state of Arkansas and was relatively progressive.

The Civil Rights Movement of African Americans were trying to end racial descrimination, and they were also trying to get their rights back. It took place in the Southern states. The Civil Rights started in 1955 through 1968 I think because thats the information that I got. Some African Americans that were in the Civil Rights are W.E.B. Du Bois, Malcolm x, Martin Luther King Jr, and also Rosa Parks.

South Carolina

South Carolina is to the south and west by Georgia, located across the Savannah River. The history of South Carolina is that 1715 through 1717 there was a war between Yamasee War, between colonial South Carolina and several indian tribes, was one of America's bloodiest Indian War's. Important facts about South Carolina are that they have alot of Law enforcement agencies, like South Carolina Department of Public Safety. Also there are South Carolina Highway Patrol Division, and im just going to tell you one more and it is South Carolina Bureau of Protective Services. Dont think thats all of them because it's not cause there are alot more but I don't want to write all of them.

Imaginative Story

It was the middle of the night and suddently I remembered that I had to go feed my dog. I forgot to feed my dog because I was bussy the whole day that I couldn't remember that I had to feed my dog. I remembered I had to do something that day but I just couldn't remember,until I saw the bag of dog food sitting right in front of the door, that's when I remembered about my little pitbull.So I went to the back yard and thats when I saw him and he was crying, trying to tell me that he wanted some food. That's when I gave him his favorite food and he ate it all up and then,I just went back inside the house took a shower and ate something and went to sleep.

Learning how to breakdance was hard for me. It may not look hard, when you see someone doing it, but when your trying to learn trust me it's hard. It took me almost a year to learn how to breakdance because I wasn't as strong to do any of the breakdancing moves that I know how to do now. I would also be painful because I would fall alot and I would hurt myself and get bruses. I also sometimes would sprain my leg, or my arm, or even my fingers. It was laso hard because you have to have balance but i didn't have so much balance. But that's why learning how to breakdance was hard for me.

Hi my name is oscar bermudez, and im 37 years old. The kind of job that i have is, a pretty good job, it's working in a resturant called los dos amigos. I like it cause i can eat free food there. I also have a very happy family i have three kid's and a wife that love me very much. My parent's also live with me , they're really old that's why i like them living ith me, sometimes the're really annoying cause they don't leave me alone, but what am i gonna do thats parent's for you.
